As one of the big branches of Yarlung Tsangpo River, the Nyang River is 308 kilometers long with a fall of 2,580 meters. It rises from the eastern foot of Chuchepo La and covers an area of 15,459 square kilometers and joins the Yarlung Tsangbo River at Nyingchi.
