With 8844.43 meters above sea level Mount Qomolangma overlooks the other mountains of the earth. It is the main peak of Himalaya and runs across China's Tibet Autonomous Region and Nepal. This Tibetan name Qomolangma in English means "goddess of the earth", while the Western countries call it “Mount Everest”.
We support a lot of tourists annually to the Everest region to visit Everest Base Camp and Rongbuk monastery, and to do trekking in the area of Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu and Shishapangma.
Because of its height and many myths that were occured around the massif, the mountain continues to exert a magical attraction, and is still regarded as the epitome of human challenge. It is always the dream destination of many mountaineers. On 29th, May 1953 the New Zealander Edmund Hillary (34 years) and his Sherpa mountain guide Tenzing Norgay (39 years) had occupied the summit for the first time. 1978 Italian Reinhold Messner and Austrian Peter Habeler reached the summit without supplemental oxygen for the first time.
